From the Houston area, take 290 west to 183 North. (Or IH 10 W to 71 N and then to 183 North) Take 183A (toll road) in Cedar Park to the 1431 exit and go West on 1431. You are approximately 18 miles from the entrance to Point Venture.
From IH-35, take FM 1431 west. You are now approximately 27 miles from the entrance of Point Venture.
Continue west on 1431 on this beautiful scenic drive. It has many hills and curves, so be sure and drive with caution, especially if you are pulling a boat.
After about 10 miles from the intersection of 183 and 1431 you will come to the entrance of Lago Vista. Turn left on Lohman's Ford at the stoplight. There is a CVS Pharmacy on the corner and a Super-S Grocery store. This a good place to purchase any groceries you might need for your stay.
Follow Lohman's Ford for approximately 7 miles where you will see the main entrance to Point Venture on your right. (You will pass several small stores on this road that you may want to remember about just in case you forgot something and want somewhere close to get it).
Turn right into Point Venture. There will be a guard who may ask you for the address you are visiting. Tell him your name and our address of 533 VENTURE BLVD. SOUTH. He may, however, just wave a friendly "Hello".
As you enter (watch out for deer) and come to the first fork in the road. Turn left on Venture Blvd. S. and follow the signs to the Marina. Follow this road passing the tennis courts, golf course, staying on the left forks, and start looking for 533 on your left...and you're there!
If you were to continue, not even a block, past 533 on Venture Blvd. S., you will see the clubhouse area, community swimming pool, marina and The Pier on Lake Travis restaurant.
